Some time ago Danilo contacted me informing me that a project he had been thinking about for a long time was finally taking shape: his first musical album. So he proposed to me to design a cover for what would be the preview single of the entire album: A Notte Me Vo’ Bene.
Satisfied with the result, Danilo and the production entrusted me with the covers of both the second single and the main album, released in digital form on May 16, 2020, while in physical form, in limited edition, on July 28, 2020.
I also edited the layout of the booklet for the latter, which you can download by clicking here.
The album and singles are available on all digital platforms.
The options for this initial cover were varied. We had to do justice to the single’s “nocturnal and nostalgic” vibe. After several attempts, this is the result.
Inner conflict and the struggle of the oppressed and the misunderstood are the main theme of this single and, consequently, of its cover.
For the definitive cover of the album we opted for a simple graphic solution but with a strong visual impact. The artist’s face superimposed on an exemplary image of everyday life taken in Brazil by the photographer Emanuele Di Cesare.
